Mule Box is an independently-owned and operated mobile self-storage franchisor. We deliver weather-resistant, 16-foot and 20-foot (where available) portable storage containers to homes and businesses when they are moving, renovating or needing to secure supplies and equipment onsite. For those moving locally, we transport the filled container to a desired location or can store it at one of our local facilities.
Mule Box works tirelessly to provide the perfect fit for your onsite or temporary self-storage needs.
Our founders, Steve and Jack, have both spent their careers making good brands even better. Steve as a former founder and owner of an advertising agency that helped grow national, regional and local brands. Jack as a high-level marketing executive of retail and restaurants brands (and also as a leading franchisee in a national window replacement franchise). In that spirit, they recognized an opportunity to create a portable self-storage brand that stands out from the competition. A brand that is fun, locally-owned in each market by a franchisees and a brand that customers could better relate to (who doesn't love a mule?). A brand that doesn't offer a call center, but instead offers real, live local people in the markets they serve. And, most importantly, a brand who sole focus is delivering 5-star service with every portable self-storage rental experience. The result: Mule Box, a brand stubbornly devoted to bringing portable storage and moving solutions to local neighbors. Every day the Mule Box brand gains more fans as Mule Box kicks some much-needed life and personality into the portable storage industry.
Steve’s background is in advertising and marketing. During his time working for some of America's top advertising agencies, he helped launch several national and regional brands, developed strong lead generation strategies and results for marketers and was a part of building brands for several industry stalwarts (Metro by T-Mobile, Motel 6, KFC and Taco Cabana to name a few). This gave Steve an appreciation for the power of strong customer relationships, which is something his Mule Box customers appreciate as well.
Jack enjoyed a long, distinguished career in marketing leadership roles within franchised retail and restaurant chains. Jack worked on leading national and regional brands such a Fogo de Chao, Taco Cabana, Jamba Juice and many others. Jack's passion for franchising inspired him to leave the corporate world and run his own Window World franchises (he now owns two). And today, Jack’s well-honed skills are helping to build the Mule Box brand as it seeks to transform the portable self-storage industry one new Mule Box location at a time.
